Terms and Conditions. ( Updated June 15th 2012)

These term and conditions apply to taxi vans south wales and haul-4u (Vans with Drivers Only) and it's other trading names.

There is an effort to lay things out in plain English so as to be easily understood.

At all times it should be understood that taxi vans south wales  and haul-4u service is a quality basic service which is reflected in our prices and that we are an alternative to conventional moving services and an alternative to Self Drive Van Hire.

These Terms and conditions may be altered, amended and updated at any time by taxi vans south wales and where appropriate applied retrospectively.

1.       All charges are calculated from when the Van and Driver leaves our base until it will arrive back, IF you have been given a fixed quote this will be used to work out your final bill.

2. If your goods exceed more than 5 items then our luton vehicle is used and a higher tariff is worked out, 

3.       The cost of any parking charges will be passed onto the customer. 

4.       Where an estimate has been given it must be understood that this is not a fixed price quote and all charges are calculated as per our published price list. 

5.       Where a congestion charge has been incurred on a customers job (this includes passing through a charging zone) the cost will be passed onto the customer. (our vans are lez complient)

6.       By booking a Van and Driver by telephone or via the internet you have agreed to our terms and conditions and to make full payment on arrival or completion.

7.       In general, customers book a time for a Van and Driver to arrive. While every effort is made to arrive at the appointed time there are many factors which can cause a Van and Driver to arrive late, therefore it should be understood that there is no guarantee that a Van will arrive on time and no liability or penalty can be attributed should a Van arrive late. If a Van is going to be more than 15 minutes late the driver will attempt to contact the customer by phone and advise of an arrival time. 

8.       TAXI VANS  SOUTH WALES does also offer other companies work if all our own vehicles are fully booked. These also will be covered by the same terms and conditions

9.       All Luton Van and Working Crew jobs are carried out by HAUL-4U our specialist contractors. TAXI VANS SOUTH WALES  will advertise for and take in bookings from customers for Van and Working Crew Jobs and pass the job onto the specialist contractor. TAXI VANS SOUTH WALES will pass on communications between the customer and specialist contractor  

Over many years of experience this arrangement has been found to be the best possible for customers and allows prices to be maintained at a highly competitive low level. 

10.   Insurance. In general your goods are not insured, however your household insurance (please check your policies) may cover your goods while being moved. Customers who require insurance are advised to make their own arrangements. Or they can ask to be added to our own goods in transit insurance which will incur a fee to be paid in advance, for this service, if not asked for then you understand that the items insurance is your responsibility. 

11.   Over recent years parking conditions have changed and it is not possible to carry out some jobs without incurring a Fixed Penalty Charge. If such a charge is incurred the cost will be passed onto the customer. 

12.   For jobs that cross the 8pm time line a one off charge of £12 is added to the final bill.

13.  If there are any access problems associated with you job or there are any conditions that make your job unusual such as access via an external fire escape or spiral stair ways you must advise us. 

14. We look after/wrap and protect goods possible. Some oversized items being moved into smaller properties can sometimes incur damage or slightly get marked we do our utmost to stop this happening and try to protect your goods but we do not take responsibility for any damage incured due to doors/stairs/windows or any reason the items are oversized for the properties, please make sure your rooms or access like doors have been removed or ask driver to remove them if they are lift on/off ones , there is a charge for removal of windows and or doors if access is not possible through doorway. 

15.  Also if there is any change to the circumstances of your job, you must advise us as soon as you know, as this may cause a delay and may incur extra fees to be added to the final bill(drivers discretion).

16. We deliver all your goods to the destination, if any item such as three piece suite etc does not fit into the new property or destintaion then it is your responsibilty and it will be removed from the vehicle unless you want us to put it into storage or if needed to be taken back their will be charges involved but we do our utmost to help in these circumstances.(always measure door frames and furniture)

17. We do not accept responsbility for any items which have been left unattended, please make sure your items are safe at all times. We do look after the goods which have been placed on the vehicles and wrap them up on our vans we also tie down and use straps as well as secure bars.

18. We ask you to pack and make sure your items are ready when we arrive delaying the driver/workers may again incur charges, please pack as best as you can, look after your goods.

YOU ARE AGREEING TO THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR ANY JOB OR TRANSPORT/WORKER YOU HAVE ASKED US TO DO, VAN AND DRIVER HIRE REMOVALS OR ANY TYPE OF WORK ASSOCIATED TO US IN ANY WAY OR FORM FROM BOOKING US VIA PHONE TEXT INTERNET EMAIL ETC YOU ARE AGREEING TO ALL THESE TERMS.

EXTRA CHARGES CAN ALSO SOMETIMES  OCCUR DUE TO BRIDGE TOLLS OR RE-ROUTED JOBS THESE WILL BE PASSED ON TOO THE CUSTOMER WITH NOTIFICATION.

prices and quotes are only valid for 7 days as we offer a sameday service, we have the right too cancel any quote which is no longer valid.
